Mayor Dean Ball, President

Dean Ball has been the Mayor of Deer Lake since 2011 and has served on the Town Council for 26 years prior to that. He has witnessed considerable change in municipal governance largely through his active involvement on municipal committees such as Finance, Environment and Housing, Waste Management and Recreation. Dean has been a great supporter of Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador (MNL), serving on the Urban Municipalities Committee, and in 2015 was elected as the Committee Chair. Dean also serves on the Executive Committee of MNL as the Chair of Finance.

He is also a busy entrepreneur in his area, running businesses in the hardware, self-storage and land development sectors. Dean has been married for 31 years to his beautiful wife Brenda and has two sons. Nowadays he revels in his role as Grand Father to five-year-old, Tiffany.
